Yes, the forecast for tomorrow is looking crappo, but ALL games are on tomorrow.
Ladies Day is also on, with a big beautiful marquee set to keep the ladies dry and warm, as the DJ pumps out his tracks. Go to the Social page for more information on Ladies Day.
Soooooo make sure you get down to Waverley Oval for a massive day.
The weekend’s actions sees Waverley’s Women’s team make their home match debut with Waverley hosting the Students (Sydney Uni).
In the men, Waverley is set to take competition heavyweights, Petersham. The Shammies were washed out just before Easter, so haven’t played a game in three weeks, and likely haven’t trained much in that time too. This all points to Waverley having a solid weekend if the appropriate combinations can gel. Will it be four from four? Get down and you will see.
2011 / 2012 Entertainment Books have arrived, and will be forsale from this weekend onwards. Get your copy this weekend.
The weather is getting colder by the day, so why not get your Waverley Hoodie and rug up for the season ahead. Stocks are limited (Large almost sold out), so get yours fast. See the Merchandise section of the website for details.

Grades 1 to 4 and Colts are on Oval #2.
Flying Fifths have been bumped to Colleagues:
Woollahra Oval #3
Manion Ave
Rosebay
Kick off remains at 12pm.
Yes, tomorrow’s games are definitely on!
Tomorrow sees all men’s teams play at home (subject to weather that is), and the women away to Sydney Uni.
For the men, they are chasing points in every grade as we need as many Divisional Championship Points to stay in Div 2 in 2011, and no one wants to start our 40th Anniversary down a Division. The oppo for them is Kings Old Boys, and Colleagues in Halligan.
Kings sit 3rd on the competition table and will be tough oppo. Apparently they are targetting an upset win in 4th Grade, so Waves Alexander Associates boys better be on the look out.
Kings are always tough oppo, tend to pick up steam towards the end of the season, so watch up.
As a result of the forecast, there may be some last minute changes to the matches, so stay tuned to the website first thing tomorrow morning.
Flying Fifths will be the ones that are effected.
In the event of Oval #1 being closed, we’ll be bumping Grades 1 to 4 and Colts on to the back oval, and the Flying Fifths will be bumped to Colleagues at Rose Bay.
Kick off times are as follows:
10.30am – Colts
12.00pm – 4th Grade
12.00pm – 5th Grade (#2 Oval)
12.55pm – 3rd Grade
2.00pm – 2nd Grade
3.15pm – 1st Grade
Post match speeches will again be held at The Palace. With the Wallabies playing the Springboks on Saturday night, make sure you stick around to watch the game.
Because of the wet weather, we’ve decided to bump Ladies Day to the last home game on August 14.

Waverley Oval is closed for training tonight. As such we’re repeating the Club Dinner we had in the last batch of wet weather, so please head to the Palace for Beers and some Mexican.
With Waverley Oval closed again (bloody Sydney weather), we’re moving training to The Palace. This is compulsory, as we all need to re-group given the lack of training in recent weeks.
Thursday night is The Palace’s famous Mexican night. For 15 dollars pesos!!! you’ll get your choice of fajita’s, burritos, or even quesadilla’s, plus a Corona thrown in for good measure.
Head to the Palace from 6.30pm
Please contact your coach (or post a comment below) if you can’t make tonight, and to let them know your availability for the weekend.
Saturday is an another important game for us if Waverley is to remain in Div 2 in 2011.

There is a slight chance of Waverley Oval #1 being open on Saturday so pray for the coastal showers to stop (it’s clear everywhere else!).
If #1 is closed, we’ll bump Grades 1 to 4 and Colts to the #2 Oval.
The Flying Fifths will scheduled to play Colleagues at 12.00pm on Oval #2. In the event of wet weather, the game will be moved down to Colleagues home ground.
The Women are playing away to Sydney Uni.
Check back here tomorrow for full details on the weekends games.
