The intention is that forwards from all teams will train together as often as possible.
Experience coaching the front row / tight five will be given preference. ARU Coaching or equivalent accreditation preferred.
2nd / 3rd / Grade Coaches
These roles will suit candidates looking to further develop their coaching skills, with a view to coaching at a higher level in the future.
The 2nd & 3rd Grade Coaches play an integral role in the identification of playing talent, especially as Waverley is in the fortunate position to be able to recruit players across the season.
The challenge in the roles will be to identify capable players in lower grades, develop their ability, in order to ensure we are fielding the best team in each grade, maximising our chances of winning premierships.
Coaching accreditation is preferred or a commitment to achieve ARU Foundation Level (with support of Club) or higher.
Colts Coach (Under 21)
Waverley Rugby Club is looking for a coach committed to building and developing a Colts team.
The Club has identified a Colts side as a key component of a successful club, and an imperative no matter what division we are playing in.
Excellent motivational, organisational and interpersonal skills are required, in order to bring ensure the Colts remain a tight nit group. The ability to develop these players to play in the higher grades will be highly desirable.
2009 saw the return of Colts after a few years absence, narrowly missing out on finals. In 2011, Waverley is looking to win it’s first ever Colts title.

Women’s Coach
Waverley is one of six clubs fielding a team in the Sydney Women’s rugby competition.

The Women’s team is a vital component of Waverley Rugby Club, which the Club is seeking to continue to grow, especially as most players are very active in contributing to the running and success of the club, both on and off the field.
With Seven’s rugby likely to be played at the Olympics in coming years, Waverley is aiming to build players capable of making the Australian Squad.
Coaching accreditation is preferred or a commitment to achieve ARU Foundation Level (with support of Club) or higher.
4th / 5th Grade Coaches
Typified by players looking for an enjoyable game of rugby, and the social side that goes with it, Waverley is looking for lower grade coaches who are able to foster a positive and winning team spirit, in a social environment.
