Located in the heart of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, just five minutes up the road from the world famous Bondi Beach, Waverley Rugby Club is a leading Club in the NSW Suburban Rugby (“Subbies”) Competition.

Established in 1971, Waverley Rugby has proven to be one of the most successful clubs in Subbies Rugby, having won 36 Premierships, and Seven Division Championships.

While rugby is important, it’s what happens off the pitch that defines Waverley.  We are a proud social club, where players from around the globe are able to meet liked minded members, people who are looking to play some great rugby, and have a great time off the pitch.

New members will find a welcoming atmosphere and will quickly make life long friends.

Our ground, Waverley Oval, is one of the most scenic in Subbies, with ocean views, fantastic pavilion (well from 2011 when the new grandstand will be ready).  Players will be able to play a game of rugby, and follow it up with an ocean swim recovery.
